I paint on discarded wood, metal, lamp shades, and picture frames to crate a new piece of useble art.

My installation art has been influence by both artists and our region. The installations focus on shape and line and its relation to the immediate environment around it. They are also motivated by a need to embrace a more simplistic yet naturally artistic culture found in our region. My pastel drawings are still life. Bonanza Jellybean in a small works gallery, based in a 6foot x 12foot 1950\\\'s red camper. Aswell as showing our own artworks we also show other local artists. Vintage wares, and objects of interest are always on display . We serve free tea, coffee and sweets, to friendly shoppers.

Porcelain is our primary sculpture material, gas fired to 2000 degrees and mounted to various mixed media panels. Raku is also very fun. I also teach pottery to children at Art Space/Fine Arts Blount for ages 6 to 12, 12 to 18 and adults on Saturday mornings in Maryville. Recently started making floor cloths. Paintings of local scenes, still life, floral and genre (people working in everyday life) scenes.

Although Heath Claiborne works in a variety of mediums, watercolor is his favorite, and most of the pieces in this online gallery were produced in transparent watercolor. Rotating dozens of hake brushes and five gallon buckets of water to preserve color purity, layer after layer of of thin washes create the incredible luminosity of Heath's paintings. While the bulk of his work is generally rooted in realism, perhaps the most facinating aspect of Heath's art is his broad range of styles. Viewers are often surprised that such an ecclectic body of work was produced by the same artist. The Heath Claiborne Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Maryville in the historic Capitol Theatre.
